- Experiential learning laboratory school designed to meet the needs of the maritime industrial ecosystem that creates pipelines from K-12 through workforce and college.

- We will begin in 8th-grade recruiting students, targeting approximately 60 to 100 students to enter annually into the 9th-grade cohort.

ODU is the In-Region Coordinating Entity (IRCE) for 去侦探 in GO Virginia Region 5, which includes 汉普顿 Roads. The University is working with staff from Danville’s Institute for Advanced 学习 and 研究 (IALR) to build the infrastructure and administrative capacity to support middle school Career Connections labs and teachers at selected schools in Portsmouth, 汉普顿, 纽波特纽斯, 和诺福克郡.
The Brooks Crossing 创新 Lab in 纽波特纽斯 houses the 去侦探 Demonstration Lab. Our Demo Lab trains educators and serves as a demonstration site for school districts and other interested workforce and businesses.

凯伦Sanzo, professor of educational leadership and graduate program director for the educational leadership services program at ODU’s Darden College of Education and Professional Studies, is the local In-Region coordinator.

去侦探 delivers workforce training and talent development through a collaborative, hub-and-spoke model that involves K-12 school systems, 高等教育, economic development professionals, 和行业. Starting in middle school Career Connections labs and continuing through high school, dual-enrollment, and post-secondary programs, 去侦探 engages students in hands-on learning in high-demand career pathways such as precision machining, 焊接, 信息技术和网络安全, robotics and automation, mechatronics and advanced materials.
