君主+ Purchase Guidelines

君主+/君主+ Cards may not be used to pay volunteers, 供应商, independent contractors, 演讲嘉宾, 咨询顾问, 酬金, 学生, 工作人员, or stipends for goods or services at any time. This includes times when a student or 工作人员 member provides service with something like student move in or tutoring, 等. There are a number of reasons for this, but the most important is IRS compliance.

Any payments to 学生 for services must go through the established payroll process.

There are times when it could be appropriate to use the Monarch card as an incentive such as a raffle prize for participating in a survey or a similar situation. In cases where it is appropriate, the card center will need a description of the situation and the Names and UIN’s on an Excel Spreadsheet of the recipient to load the funds onto the card and provide the information to payroll to add to earnings, 是适用的. 卡中心将 no longer provide cards that are not associated with a UIN.  

When departmental funds are used to load balances onto a card, 帐3, 4, 5, and 6 are the only sources of funds that can be used in order for us to stay in compliance with the Commonwealth.

If you are a department requesting to fund a student(s) card(s) as an award for participating in a survey, we will need to follow the guidelines above.
