The Excellence in 研究生 教学 Award is to honor one outstanding 终身 教师 member for excellence in graduate teaching. Each college may nominate two 教员.

This award winner is announced at the annual 教师 Recognition & 颁奖典礼. Please send your nominations for your respective colleges via email to the college coordinator by the established deadline. The Associate/Assistant Dean of the college must submit the nomination to the 研究生院 via email.

 

资格 & 提名标准

  1. Only current or previously employed, 终身, graduate 教师 who supervise doctoral students at the University for at least five years are eligible.

  2. Nominations are accepted from current or former graduate students, 教员, 部门的椅子, graduate program directors, 顾问, 和管理员. Individual 教员 may nominate themselves.

  3. 被提名人 不得 have received the 研究生 教学 Award during the previous five years.

信 of nomination must address the candidate’s record of excellence and innovation in teaching. This includes the development of interdisciplinary or non-traditional initiatives, links to student outcomes, and connecting teaching to practical applications (where appropriate).

Nomination packets should include the following and must be submitted as a single PDF and include the following materials:

  • A statement by the nominee describing their teaching philosophy and what they have done to deserve the award.

  • A brief CV focused on teaching.

  • Other significant College- or University-level teaching awards.

  • A letter of nomination from a 终身 教师 member of at least equal rank (to avoid potential conflicts of interest).

  • Student Opinion Surveys.

  • Optional: 支持 letters from students. A support letter from the Dean.

提名过程 & 时间表

The Dean selects the college coordinator for this award. We encourage graduate students, 教师, 和管理员 to submit nominations via email to their department chair. 然后, the chair/supervisor certifies 教师 eligibility before sending it to the college coordinator.

  • Selection of the College Coordinator by the Dean or Designee: Monday, January 22, 2024.
  • Nomination packets must be sent to your department chair by Monday, January 29, 2024.
  • The department chair must submit it to the College Coordinator by Monday, February 5, 2024.
  • College Coordinator must submit nominations to the Associate or Assistant Dean of the college: Monday, 2月12日, 2024.
  • Nominations submitted to the 研究生院: Monday, February 19, 2024.

The Associate Dean/Assistant Dean must submit the nominations for their respective colleges to the 研究生院. Please send nomination packets to the 研究生院 via email. Please send it as one PDF file to graduateschool@mojahedin-enghelab.net.
