The Institute of 亚洲研究 initiates and coordinates the development and operation of special programs, and administers a minor and major in 亚洲研究. It also explores and maintains cooperative relationships with higher 教育 institutions and other organizations within the United States and throughout Asia in order to enhance 亚洲研究 programs in this university and region.
亚洲研究 (B.A.)
The Bachelor of 艺术 (BA) in 亚洲研究 requires a total of 120 credit hours. In addition to the requirements of the General Education, 30-35 hours at the upper level are required, including the Capstone Seminar in 亚洲研究 (ASIA 461W) and 研究 Methods (HIST 201, 政客们308, SOC337, 317年心理学, 或ECON 400).
The remaining 18-24 credit hours should be taken from the following list of the courses. At least one of these courses must be selected from the Humanities and one from Social Sciences. At least 1 course must be writing intensive. Additional courses may be approved by the program director.

Only 300-level and above courses (not counting research methods courses) can be used toward an 亚洲研究 minor or toward fulfilling the eectoves requirement of the 亚洲研究 major.
The 亚洲研究 Minor requires a minimum of 12 credits at the 300-400 level. Refer to the list below for the classes that qualify for the minor.
